Oak and Mortar is one studio of surveyors, makers and builders. We measure the room you have, draw the room you want, make it in our own workshop and fit it with our own hands. No middle men, no flat packs, no guesswork.

Every joint is hand cut in oak. Every drawer runs on a fitting we chose, not the one that came cheapest. The person who measures your room is the person who makes it, so nothing is lost between the drawing and the door.

We measure the real room, to the millimetre, and listen to how you use it.
- 02Design
We draw it, in oak and stone, and cost it before a single board is cut.
- 03Make
It is built in our workshop, by the maker who drew it, not a factory line.
- 04Install
Our own fitters set it, wire the lighting and leave the room clean.
We start by counting. The rooms you use, the things you own, the way the light moves through the day. Then we build to that, and only that. One studio surveys, draws, makes and fits it, and stands behind it for years.
